Welcome to Sackett’s Kenai Grill
We are located in Cooper Landing, Alaska, a town that thrives on its location on the upper Kenai River. Cooper Landing sits amidst the picturesque Chugach Mountains on the Kenai Peninsula about 100 miles south of Anchorage. Find us at Mile 50.5 of the Sterling Highway, just west of Cooper Creek Campground South and just across the highway from Cooper Creek Campground North and the Kenai River. We are open year-round.
The Sackett family has been a part of the Cooper Landing community for over 15 years. After farming for decades in Oregon, Glenn Sackett settled in Cooper Landing and leased the Roadhouse on the shore of Kenai Lake (now the Kingfisher Roadhouse). He ran the restaurant there for most of a decade before moving 3 miles west along the highway to a more permanent, family-owned property. Sackett’s is now run by Glenn’s son Tre, chef and general manager, and Tre’s fiancé Ida, baker extraordinaire.

At Sackett’s, we pride ourselves on our homemade, fresh food. We specialize in BBQ smoked on property using family rub and BBQ sauce recipes and house-made egg-washed buns. In 2013, Glenn opened greenhouses in Sterling (Sackett Family Farms) that supply the restaurant with fresh produce whenever possible. And that’s not all, Sackett’s offers delicious baked goods to complete the meal; customers are always coming back for another turtle bar or coconut almond chocolate chip cookie!
